Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In April 2008 Christies in New York held the auction Important Old Master Paintings Part I And Part II, which included the work A Seated Male Nude In Contrapposto by Jean-Germain Drouais. Here, the upper estimate of USD 15,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 16,250.00 (€ 10,438.08). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean-Germain Drouais achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Marius At Minturnae in January 2014 with an auction result of USD 335,000.00 (€ 248,148.15).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im April 2008 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Important Old Master Paintings Part I And Part II durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Seated Male Nude In Contrapposto von Jean-Germain Drouais zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 15.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 16.250,00 (€ 10.438,08) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jean-Germain Drouais erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Marius At Minturnae im Januar 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 335.000,00 (€ 248.148,15).
