Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Une Déclaration Amoureuse by Jean-Frédéric Schall was auctioned at Sothebys in Paris in March 2010, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 3,000.00 – 4,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean-Frédéric Schall achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Hives Of Cupids in April 2016 with an auction result of USD 50,000.00 (€ 43,702.47).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Une Déclaration Amoureuse von Jean-Frédéric Schall im März 2010 bei Sothebys in Paris versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 3.000,00 – 4.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 2.000,00 den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jean-Frédéric Schall erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Hives Of Cupids im April 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 50.000,00 (€ 43.702,47).
