Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In September 2013 Christies in London held the auction 19th Century European Art Including Orientalist Art, which included the work An Odalisque On The Terrace At Dusk by Jean François Portaels. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 3,500.00 (€ 4,183.71), 17% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean François Portaels achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Pearl Necklace in June 2006 with an auction result of GBP 84,000.00 (€ 121,546.60).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im September 2013 führte Christies in London die Auktion 19th Century European Art Including Orientalist Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit An Odalisque On The Terrace At Dusk von Jean François Portaels zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 3.500,00 (€ 4.183,71) und damit 17% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jean François Portaels erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Pearl Necklace im Juni 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 84.000,00 (€ 121.546,60).
