Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2012 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master & British Paintings Day Sale, which included the work The Liberation Of Saint Peter by Jean-François de Troy. The price achieved of GBP 25,000.00 (€ 30,831.94) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean-François de Troy achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Reading Party in December last year with an auction result of GBP 2,922,000.00 (€ 3,298,653.39).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2012 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Master & British Paintings Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Liberation Of Saint Peter von Jean-François de Troy zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 25.000,00 (€ 30.831,94) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jean-François de Troy erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Reading Party im Dezember letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.922.000,00 (€ 3.298.653,39).
