However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jean-François de la Motte - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Trompe L'Oeil Still Life, With A Painted Landscape, A Relief And A Mezzotint Of Peasants By A Cottage, which sold at auction in July 2011 for GBP 55,250.00 (€ 63,407.64).
