This artwork by Jean Dupas achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in June 2014. In the The Art of Travel auction, the work Xvme Salon Des Artistes Decorateurs sold for GBP 15,000.00 (€ 18,741.78) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean Dupas achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 'L'Enlèvement D'Europe', 1928, Paire De Tableaux Dans Leurs Cadres D'Origine Dessinés Par L'Artiste in May 2014 with an auction result of EUR 217,500.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jean Dupas erzielte im Juni 2014 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion The Art of Travel wurde die Arbeit Xvme Salon Des Artistes Decorateurs für GBP 15.000,00 (€ 18.741,78) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 7.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jean Dupas erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit 'L'Enlèvement D'Europe', 1928, Paire De Tableaux Dans Leurs Cadres D'Origine Dessinés Par L'Artiste im Mai 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 217.500,00.
