Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Le vieux pont by Jean Isy de Botton was sold in the Impressionist and Modern Art auction at Christies in New York in September 2005. The price achieved of USD 4,800.00 (€ 3,980.76) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jean Isy de Botton - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Coronation Portrait of Albert Frederick Arthur George His Majesty King George the Sixth of England, which sold at auction in October 2020 for USD 12,575.00 (€ 10,796.77).
