Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2021 Sothebys in London held the auction Modern and Contemporary African Art, which included the work Les Indesirables #2 by Jean David Nkot. It changed hands for a price of GBP 6,930.00 (€ 8,210.18) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Other works by Jean David Nkot have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in December 2020 the work Po.box transporteur /cassiteri.org - 2020 was auctioned for MAD 169,000.00 (€ 14,785.77).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2021 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Modern and Contemporary African Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Les Indesirables #2 von Jean David Nkot zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 6.930,00 (€ 8.210,18) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von Jean David Nkot konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Dezember 2020 die Arbeit Po.box transporteur /cassiteri.org - 2020 für MAD 169.000,00 (€ 14.785,77) versteigert.
