Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of EUR 3,718.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 3,000.00 – 4,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jean Chevolleau - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Lumiere Au Port De La Meule, 1995, which sold at auction in June 2007 for EUR 8,055.00.
