Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2012 Artcurial held the auction Modern Art, which included the work Maquette De Sculpture by Jean Chauvin. It changed hands for a price of EUR 1,931.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jean Chauvin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Composition surréaliste (Femme nue) in May 2005 with an auction result of EUR 11,760.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2012 führte Artcurial die Auktion Modern Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Maquette De Sculpture von Jean Chauvin zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 1.931,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jean Chauvin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Composition surréaliste (Femme nue) im Mai 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 11.760,00.
