This artwork by Jean Chaleyé achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in February 2012. In the Christie's Interiors auction, the work Still life of flowers in a porcelain vase by a window sold for USD 4,000.00 (€ 2,994.24) - well above the upper estimate of USD 2,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jean Chaleyé - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Chrysanthemums in an earthenware pot, which sold at auction in November 2005 for USD 8,400.00 (€ 7,124.68).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Jean Chaleyé erzielte im Februar 2012 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Christie's Interiors wurde die Arbeit Still life of flowers in a porcelain vase by a window für USD 4.000,00 (€ 2.994,24) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 2.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Jean Chaleyé mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Chrysanthemums in an earthenware pot beobachtet, die im November 2005 für USD 8.400,00 (€ 7.124,68) versteigert wurde.
