This artwork by Jean Chaleyé achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in February 2012. In the Christie's Interiors auction, the work Still life of flowers in a porcelain vase by a window sold for USD 4,000.00 (€ 2,994.24) - well above the upper estimate of USD 2,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jean Chaleyé - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Chrysanthemums in an earthenware pot, which sold at auction in November 2005 for USD 8,400.00 (€ 7,124.68).

In der Auktion Christie's Interiors wurde die Arbeit Still life of flowers in a porcelain vase by a window für USD 4.000,00 (€ 2.994,24) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 2.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Jean Chaleyé mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Chrysanthemums in an earthenware pot beobachtet, die im November 2005 für USD 8.400,00 (€ 7.124,68) versteigert wurde.
