Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Jean Calogero could be acquired at Christies in London in March 2006 for an unexpectedly low price. In the British and Continental Pictures auction, the work Young Girl With Flowers In Her Hair, Before A Window Looking Towards Montmartre changed hands for GBP 180.00 (€ 257.91) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 300.00 – 500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean Calogero achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Elegantes au pesage in December 2000 with an auction result of GBP 4,465.00 (€ 7,112.71).
