The work Abstract composition by Jean Boquet was worth EUR 1,560.00 to a buyer in January 2006. This price was achieved in the auction A Dealer Is Selling Off at Christies in Amsterdam and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of EUR 300.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Jean Boquet; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Composition sold at auction in March 2007 with the realized price of EUR 1,920.00.
