Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

In December 2018 Christies in London held the auction Old Masters Day Sale, which included the work A girl from Frascati by Jean Barbault. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 12,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 12,500.00 (€ 13,926.11). Admittedly, works by Jean Barbault have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Portrait D'Un Garde Suissejean Barbault ; Portrait Of A Swiss Guard ; Signed, Dated And Located Lower Left ; Oil On Canvas in June 2011 with an auction result of EUR 132,750.00.

Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen

Im Dezember 2018 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Masters Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit A girl from Frascati von Jean Barbault zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 12.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 12.500,00 (€ 13.926,11) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jean Barbault auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Portrait D'Un Garde Suissejean Barbault ; Portrait Of A Swiss Guard ; Signed, Dated And Located Lower Left ; Oil On Canvas im Juni 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 132.750,00.
