Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2005 Christies in London held the auction IMPORTANT PORTRAIT MINIATURES AND OBJECTS OF VERTU, which included the work A Young Lady In Blue Silk Dress With Light Blue Tasselled Sash Tied In A Bow At Waist, Gold-Set Jewel Pinned At Corsage, Gold Hoop Earring, Light Blue Bandeau Tied In Her Long Curling Hair by Jean Baptiste Soyer. The price achieved of GBP 720.00 (€ 1,044.35) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 600.00 – 800.00.
