Auction result misses estimated price range
In January 2015 a collector was able to acquire the work Recto: Houses In A Courtyard; Verso: Two Sketches Of Women by Jean-Baptiste Pater for USD 3,125.00 (€ 2,767.94). This price was achieved in the auction Old Master Drawings at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean-Baptiste Pater achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Bathers; The Swing in January 2003 with an auction result of USD 669,500.00 (€ 623,428.62).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Januar 2015 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Recto: Houses In A Courtyard; Verso: Two Sketches Of Women von Jean-Baptiste Pater für USD 3.125,00 (€ 2.767,94) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Old Master Drawings bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jean-Baptiste Pater erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Bathers; The Swing im Januar 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 669.500,00 (€ 623.428,62).
