The price achieved of GBP 6,875.00 (€ 8,671.54) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean-Baptiste Pater achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Bathers; The Swing in January 2003 with an auction result of USD 669,500.00 (€ 623,428.62).
