Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Le Rieur Et Les Poissons by Jean-Baptiste Oudry was auctioned at Sothebys in London in July 2020. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 18,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 18,750.00 (€ 20,914.20). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean-Baptiste Oudry achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Album containing a frontispiece and 138 illustrations for books I to VI of the Fables of Jean de La Fontaine in January this year with an auction result of USD 2,700,000.00 (€ 2,486,645.79).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Le Rieur Et Les Poissons von Jean-Baptiste Oudry kam im Juli 2020 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 18.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 18.750,00 (€ 20.914,20) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jean-Baptiste Oudry erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Album containing a frontispiece and 138 illustrations for books I to VI of the Fables of Jean de La Fontaine im Januar diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.700.000,00 (€ 2.486.645,79).
