Auction result well in line with expectations
The work L'Amour moqueur by Jean-Baptiste Carpeaux was auctioned at Sothebys in Paris in May last year. The price achieved of EUR 3,528.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean-Baptiste Carpeaux achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ugolin in March 2019 with an auction result of EUR 455,400.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit L'Amour moqueur von Jean-Baptiste Carpeaux kam im Mai letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in Paris zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 3.528,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jean-Baptiste Carpeaux erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Ugolin im März 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 455.400,00.
