Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2018 a collector was able to acquire the work Bordighera, baia grande by Jean Baptist Arthur Calame for EUR 500.00. This price was achieved in the auction Dipinti e Sculture del XIX e XX secolo at Il Ponte and was even below the estimate range of EUR 550.00 – 600.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean Baptist Arthur Calame achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 'Depuis les toits, Port de Genoa' in November last year with an auction result of GBP 10,200.00 (€ 11,819.47).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November 2018 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Bordighera, baia grande von Jean Baptist Arthur Calame für EUR 500,00 erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Dipinti e Sculture del XIX e XX secolo bei Il Ponte erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 550,00 – 600,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jean Baptist Arthur Calame erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit 'Depuis les toits, Port de Genoa' im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 10.200,00 (€ 11.819,47).
