Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Giovanni Battista Gautier could be acquired at Christies in London in December 2019 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Old Master Prints auction, the work Madame du Barry being offered a Cup of Coffee by her Page Zamore changed hands for GBP 1,000.00 (€ 1,181.88) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 1,200.00 – 1,800.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Giovanni Battista Gautier - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Acte De Bienfaisance De La Reine Devant Un Vigneron Blessé Et Sa Femme Implorante, which sold at auction in November 2015 for EUR 4,000.00.

Dieses Kunstwerk von Giovanni Battista Gautier konnte im Dezember 2019 bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Old Master Prints wechselte die Arbeit Madame du Barry being offered a Cup of Coffee by her Page Zamore für GBP 1.000,00 (€ 1.181,88) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.200,00 – 1.800,00.
