Auction result well in line with expectations
In January 2016 Sothebys in New York held the auction Master Paintings & 19th Century European Art, which included the work Narcisse by Jean Alaux. The price achieved of USD 6,250.00 (€ 5,769.94) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jean Alaux have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Sous La Tonnellejean Alaux, Called Le Romain ; Under The Arbour ; Signed And Dated 1862 Lower Right ; Oil On Canvas in June 2013 with an auction result of EUR 23,750.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Januar 2016 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Master Paintings & 19th Century European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Narcisse von Jean Alaux zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 6.250,00 (€ 5.769,94) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jean Alaux auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Sous La Tonnellejean Alaux, Called Le Romain ; Under The Arbour ; Signed And Dated 1862 Lower Right ; Oil On Canvas im Juni 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 23.750,00.
