Auction result misses estimated price range
In March 2011 a collector was able to acquire the work View over the bay of Palau, Sardegna, Italy by Jannes de Vries for EUR 375.00. This price was achieved in the auction Nineteen to Now, Art from the 19th, 20th and the 21st Centuries at Christies in Amsterdam and was even below the estimate range of EUR 600.00 – 800.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jannes de Vries achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sundown in December 2008 with an auction result of EUR 13,750.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März 2011 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit View over the bay of Palau, Sardegna, Italy von Jannes de Vries für EUR 375,00 erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Nineteen to Now, Art from the 19th, 20th and the 21st Centuries bei Christies in Amsterdam erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 600,00 – 800,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jannes de Vries erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Sundown im Dezember 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 13.750,00.
