Auction result well in line with expectations
In August 2015 Christies in London held the auction Christie's Interiors - Including 20th/21st Century Pictures, which included the work The playing field by Janet Patterson. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 2,250.00 (€ 3,087.97) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Janet Patterson have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in September 2010 the work Ploughed Field at Hill End was auctioned for GBP 5,000.00 (€ 5,783.03).

Im August 2015 führte Christies in London die Auktion Christie's Interiors - Including 20th/21st Century Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit The playing field von Janet Patterson zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 2.250,00 (€ 3.087,97) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Janet Patterson konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im September 2010 die Arbeit Ploughed Field at Hill End für GBP 5.000,00 (€ 5.783,03) versteigert.
