Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2000 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction DUTCH, FLEMISH AND GERMAN OLD MASTER DRAWINGS, which included the work Figure study of an old woman seated, wearing a bonnet by Jan Willem Pieneman. It changed hands for a price of NLG 760.63 (€ 356.34) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of NLG 500.00 – 800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jan Willem Pieneman achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait of the artist's daughter Frederica Wilhelmina Margaretha Elisabeth Pieneman (1817-1835) in May 2014 with an auction result of EUR 5,250.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2000 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion DUTCH, FLEMISH AND GERMAN OLD MASTER DRAWINGS durch, in der auch die Arbeit Figure study of an old woman seated, wearing a bonnet von Jan Willem Pieneman zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von NLG 760,63 (€ 356,34) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von NLG 500,00 – 800,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jan Willem Pieneman erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait of the artist's daughter Frederica Wilhelmina Margaretha Elisabeth Pieneman (1817-1835) im Mai 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 5.250,00.
