The work Studies of dead partridges (pl. 15) by Jan Weenix was sold in the The I.Q. van Regteren Altena Collection Part IV auction at Christies in New York in May 2015. It achieved a price of EUR 2,000.00 exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 67 %. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jan Weenix achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A sunflower, roses, parrot tulips, a carnation and other flowers in a glass vase on a partly draped marble table in July 2000 with an auction result of GBP 135,750.00 (€ 219,505.96).
Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A sunflower, roses, parrot tulips, a carnation and other flowers in a glass vase on a partly draped marble table im Juli 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 135.750,00 (€ 219.505,96).
