Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait Of A Gentleman, Full-Length, Standing In A Landscape, His Manservant Beside Him Together With The Day'S Bag by Jan Weenix was sold in the Old Master & British Paintings Day Sale auction at Sothebys in London in July 2014. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 10,625.00 (€ 13,401.47) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jan Weenix achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A sunflower, roses, parrot tulips, a carnation and other flowers in a glass vase on a partly draped marble table in July 2000 with an auction result of GBP 135,750.00 (€ 219,505.96).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Portrait Of A Gentleman, Full-Length, Standing In A Landscape, His Manservant Beside Him Together With The Day'S Bag von Jan Weenix wurde im Juli 2014 in der Auktion Old Master & British Paintings Day Sale bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A sunflower, roses, parrot tulips, a carnation and other flowers in a glass vase on a partly draped marble table im Juli 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 135.750,00 (€ 219.505,96).
