Auction result misses estimated price range

The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 640.00 (€ 586.73). Admittedly, works by Jan Wacław Zawadowski have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Dinner al Fresco Under a Pink Sky framed 62.0 x 71.0 x 3.0 cm (24 2/5 x 28 x 1 1/5 in). in November this year with an auction result of USD 3,840.00 (€ 3,520.35).
