Auction result well in line with expectations
The work La mort d'Abel by Johannes Voorhout was sold in the DESSINS ANCIENS ET DU XIXEME SIECLE auction at Christies in Paris in March 2004. The price achieved of EUR 587.50 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 500.00 – 700.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Johannes Voorhout achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Abraham und die Engel in November 2015 with an auction result of EUR 6,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit La mort d'Abel von Johannes Voorhout wurde im März 2004 in der Auktion DESSINS ANCIENS ET DU XIXEME SIECLE bei Christies in Paris versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 587,50 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 500,00 – 700,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Johannes Voorhout erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Abraham und die Engel im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 6.000,00.
