Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2008 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings 'Including Indonesian Art'., which included the work Fruits and flowers on a ledge by Jan van der Waarden. The price achieved of EUR 3,000.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jan van der Waarden achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A still life with fruit and flowers amongst vines on a ledge in October 2001 with an auction result of EUR 35,250.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2008 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings 'Including Indonesian Art'. durch, in der auch die Arbeit Fruits and flowers on a ledge von Jan van der Waarden zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 3.000,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 2.500,00 – 3.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jan van der Waarden erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A still life with fruit and flowers amongst vines on a ledge im Oktober 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 35.250,00.
