Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Head of an old man in profile by Jan Vincentsz. van der Vinne was auctioned at Christies in London in April 2003. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,527.50 (€ 1,990.23) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Jan Vincentsz. van der Vinne have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in December 2002 the work A wooded landscape with a stag hunt was auctioned for GBP 1,762.50 (€ 2,705.53).

Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 1.527,50 (€ 1.990,23) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
