Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait Of Francesco Dal Pozzo (1593-1625) by Jan van den Hoecke was sold in the Old Master & British Paintings auction at Sothebys in London in April 2013. The price achieved of GBP 10,000.00 (€ 11,800.58) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jan van den Hoecke - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Portrait of Archduchess Isabella Clara Eugenia, Regent of the Southern Netherlands (1566-1633), half-length, as a nun, in a painted oval, which sold at auction in January 2009 for USD 50,000.00 (€ 39,050.30).

Die Arbeit Portrait Of Francesco Dal Pozzo (1593-1625) von Jan van den Hoecke wurde im April 2013 in der Auktion Old Master & British Paintings bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 10.000,00 (€ 11.800,58) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Jan van den Hoecke mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Portrait of Archduchess Isabella Clara Eugenia, Regent of the Southern Netherlands (1566-1633), half-length, as a nun, in a painted oval beobachtet, die im Januar 2009 für USD 50.000,00 (€ 39.050,30) versteigert wurde.
