Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A cappricio view of The Hague, with figures walking along a river and a barge by Jan ten Compe was sold in the OLD MASTER PICTURES auction at Christies in Amsterdam in May 2004. The price achieved of EUR 10,157.50 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jan ten Compe have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Gelderse Kade and the Waag, Amsterdam in April 2002 with an auction result of EUR 70,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A cappricio view of The Hague, with figures walking along a river and a barge von Jan ten Compe wurde im Mai 2004 in der Auktion OLD MASTER PICTURES bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 10.157,50 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jan ten Compe auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Gelderse Kade and the Waag, Amsterdam im April 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 70.500,00.
