Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Raising of Lazarus by Jan Pynas was sold in the Tableaux Dessins Sculptures 1300-1900, Session I auction at Sothebys in Paris in June 2021. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 25,000.00 – 35,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 25,200.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Jan Pynas have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in July 2014 the work A mountainous landscape with an arched bridge over a river was auctioned for GBP 37,500.00 (€ 47,299.29).

Die Arbeit The Raising of Lazarus von Jan Pynas wurde im Juni 2021 in der Auktion Tableaux Dessins Sculptures 1300-1900, Session I bei Sothebys in Paris versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 25.200,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Jan Pynas konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Juli 2014 die Arbeit A mountainous landscape with an arched bridge over a river für GBP 37.500,00 (€ 47.299,29) versteigert.
