Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2000 Christies in London held the auction IMPRESSIONIST AND 19TH CENTURY ART, which included the work A haystack; and The vegetable garden by Jan Stanisławski. The price achieved of GBP 6,815.00 (€ 11,648.78) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Other works by Jan Stanisławski have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in November this year the work Dniepr pod Kijowem w nocy (Dnieper near Kiev at night) framed 19.5 x 27.5 x 1.25 cm (7 5/8 x 10 3/4 x 1/2 in). was auctioned for USD 23,040.00 (€ 21,122.11).
