Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Jan Saudek could be acquired at Bonhams in February this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Discovery on Madison Online auction, the work Untitled (Father and child) changed hands for USD 408.00 (€ 384.83) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 500.00 – 750.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jan Saudek achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Selected images, 1980s in February 2008 with an auction result of USD 8,125.00 (€ 5,349.97).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jan Saudek konnte im Februar diesen Jahres bei Bonhams für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Discovery on Madison Online wechselte die Arbeit Untitled (Father and child) für USD 408,00 (€ 384,83) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 500,00 – 750,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jan Saudek erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Selected images, 1980s im Februar 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 8.125,00 (€ 5.349,97).
