Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2009 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Old Master and 19th Century Art, which included the work A cobbler in his workshop by Jan Josef Horemans the Younger. The price achieved of EUR 6,875.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jan Josef Horemans the Younger have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Cauliflower, onions, peaches, cherries, artichokes, roses in a glass vase, a jug, a basket with carrots, cabbages and eggs with a blue cloth on a table in April 2003 with an auction result of GBP 29,875.00 (€ 38,925.08).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2009 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Old Master and 19th Century Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit A cobbler in his workshop von Jan Josef Horemans the Younger zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 6.875,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jan Josef Horemans the Younger auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Cauliflower, onions, peaches, cherries, artichokes, roses in a glass vase, a jug, a basket with carrots, cabbages and eggs with a blue cloth on a table im April 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 29.875,00 (€ 38.925,08).
