This artwork by Jan Hoowij achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Amsterdam in January 2006. In the A Dealer Is Selling Off auction, the work Desire sold for EUR 600.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 300.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Jan Hoowij; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Desire sold at auction in January 2006 with the realized price of EUR 660.00.

Dieses Kunstwerk von Jan Hoowij erzielte im Januar 2006 bei Christies in Amsterdam einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion A Dealer Is Selling Off wurde die Arbeit Desire für EUR 600,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 300,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Jan Hoowij; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Desire im Januar 2006 mit dem Hammerpreis von EUR 660,00.
