In October 2009 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Old Master and 19th Century Art, which included the work Game including a partridge, a jay and other birds on a table by Jan Fijt. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 10,000.00 25% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jan Fijt achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A hunting still life of a hare, partridges, snipes and other birds, together with three spaniels, a hooded falcon, a rifle and a game-bag and belt in a hilly landscape in November 2012 with an auction result of EUR 265,000.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Im Oktober 2009 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Old Master and 19th Century Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Game including a partridge, a jay and other birds on a table von Jan Fijt zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 10.000,00 und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jan Fijt erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A hunting still life of a hare, partridges, snipes and other birds, together with three spaniels, a hooded falcon, a rifle and a game-bag and belt in a hilly landscape im November 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 265.000,00.
