This artwork by Jan Ekels I achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Amsterdam in November 2016. In the Old Masters & 19th Century Art - including Dutch Impressionism auction, the work View of the Lutherse Kerk, Amsterdam, with the Singel in the foreground sold for EUR 16,250.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 8,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jan Ekels I - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Waag, Leiden; And The Marekerk, Leiden, which sold at auction in May 2006 for EUR 57,600.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jan Ekels I erzielte im November 2016 bei Christies in Amsterdam einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Old Masters & 19th Century Art - including Dutch Impressionism wurde die Arbeit View of the Lutherse Kerk, Amsterdam, with the Singel in the foreground für EUR 16.250,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 8.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Jan Ekels I mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Waag, Leiden; And The Marekerk, Leiden beobachtet, die im Mai 2006 für EUR 57.600,00 versteigert wurde.
