Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Travellers and peasants with a packhorse on a road by a ruined villa; and A horseman and peasants by a vaulted ruin by Jan de Beyer was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in November 2003, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 600.00 – 800.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 597.50. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jan de Beyer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Nieuwe Kerk, Amsterdam, with the Nieuwezijds Voorburgwal and the Donkere Sluis, the construction of the Tower of the Nieuwe Kerk beyond in April 2002 with an auction result of EUR 76,375.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Travellers and peasants with a packhorse on a road by a ruined villa; and A horseman and peasants by a vaulted ruin von Jan de Beyer im November 2003 bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Nieuwe Kerk, Amsterdam, with the Nieuwezijds Voorburgwal and the Donkere Sluis, the construction of the Tower of the Nieuwe Kerk beyond im April 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 76.375,00.
