Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A herdsman watering cattle in a mountainous landscape by Jan Bedijs Tom was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in March 2000. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of NLG 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of NLG 2,106.36 (€ 896.09) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jan Bedijs Tom achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Watering cattle in a panoramic summer landscape in October 2009 with an auction result of EUR 37,000.00.

Die Arbeit A herdsman watering cattle in a mountainous landscape von Jan Bedijs Tom kam im März 2000 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von NLG 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von NLG 2.106,36 (€ 896,09) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
