Auction result misses estimated price range
In January 2005 a collector was able to acquire the work In the cloister by Jan Baptiste Tetar van Elven for EUR 504.00. This price was achieved in the auction PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS at Christies in Amsterdam and was even below the estimate range of EUR 800.00 – 1,200.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jan Baptiste Tetar van Elven achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Street scene, probably Spa, Belgium in November 2020 with an auction result of GBP 6,120.00 (€ 6,831.99).

Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS bei Christies in Amsterdam erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 800,00 – 1.200,00.
