Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work A Winter Landscape With Figures Skating, A Horse-Drawn Sledge And A Mill, Amsterdam And The Ij Beyond by Jan Abrahamsz. Beerstraaten was auctioned at Sothebys in London in December 2012, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 25,000.00 – 35,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 21,250.00 (€ 26,207.15). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jan Abrahamsz. Beerstraaten achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Dutch Ships At Anchor In A Calm Harbor, With Dignitaries In A Barge Approaching The Royal Yacht Of Prince William Ii, And A Ferry Transporting A Cannon In The Foreground in January 2020 with an auction result of USD 560,000.00 (€ 504,822.86).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit A Winter Landscape With Figures Skating, A Horse-Drawn Sledge And A Mill, Amsterdam And The Ij Beyond von Jan Abrahamsz. Beerstraaten im Dezember 2012 bei Sothebys in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 21.250,00 (€ 26.207,15) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jan Abrahamsz. Beerstraaten erzielen.
