This artwork by James Wright achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in Paris in October this year. In the Scottish Art auction, the work Loch Long sold for GBP 704.00 (€ 808.39) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 350.00. Admittedly, works by James Wright have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Two girls by a window in October 2002 with an auction result of GBP 2,270.50 (€ 3,591.53).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von James Wright erzielte im Oktober diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Scottish Art wurde die Arbeit Loch Long für GBP 704,00 (€ 808,39) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 350,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von James Wright auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Two girls by a window im Oktober 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.270,50 (€ 3.591,53).
