In October 2004 a collector was able to acquire the work A Farmer With Horses On A Country Road With Cottages In The Distance by James Walter Gozzard for GBP 382.40 (€ 550.38). This price was achieved in the auction AT HOME - BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 400.00 – 600.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by James Walter Gozzard - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Misty Morning, which sold at auction in March 2005 for GBP 960.00 (€ 1,398.14).
