Auction result misses estimated price range
In April last year a collector was able to acquire the work Sheridan's Ride by James Walker for USD 12,750.00 (€ 12,100.22). This price was achieved in the auction Western Art at Bonhams in Los Angeles and was even below the estimate range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by James Walker have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Decisive Battle for Los Angeles in January 2020 with an auction result of USD 68,750.00 (€ 61,976.02).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im April letzten Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Sheridan's Ride von James Walker für USD 12.750,00 (€ 12.100,22) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Western Art bei Bonhams in Los Angeles erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von James Walker auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Decisive Battle for Los Angeles im Januar 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 68.750,00 (€ 61.976,02).
