Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by James Princep Barnes Beadle could be acquired at Sothebys in London in July 2007 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Victorian & Edwardian Art auction, the work "Masquerade" Outside The Grand Opera House, Paris, In Carnival Time, Maskers Coming Out From A Ball From The Inside changed hands for GBP 16,800.00 (€ 24,951.88) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 18,000.00 – 25,000.00. Other works by James Princep Barnes Beadle have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in October 2007 by the work "Masquerade" Outside The Grand Opera House, Paris, In Carnival Time, Maskers Coming Out From A Ball From The Inside at GBP 31,700.00 (€ 45,523.29).
