Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Coastal View by James Poole was sold in the British & Continental Pictures including Greek Art auction at Sothebys in Olympia in May 2007. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,020.00 (€ 1,501.00) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by James Poole have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in January 2009 the work Collecting firewood beside a stream was auctioned for GBP 1,625.00 (€ 1,829.20).
