Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2007 a collector was able to acquire the work Stakes And Trotters At A Gallop by James Pollard for GBP 2,500.00 (€ 3,590.16). This price was achieved in the auction British & Continental Paintings at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 3,000.00 – 4,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by James Pollard achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The London-Edinburgh Royal Mail coach setting a brisk pace on a summer day in July 2021 with an auction result of GBP 106,250.00 (€ 124,600.16).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2007 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Stakes And Trotters At A Gallop von James Pollard für GBP 2.500,00 (€ 3.590,16) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion British & Continental Paintings bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 4.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von James Pollard erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The London-Edinburgh Royal Mail coach setting a brisk pace on a summer day im Juli 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 106.250,00 (€ 124.600,16).
